Would we ever be able to develop a sixth sense that will enable us to :access information existing helping us in taking decisions like choosing a product or a book or even knowing the background of someone in the moment you meet yet not googling him/her online. This question was answered by the inventor of the sixth sense projector Parnav Mistry . He is a Research Assistant and PhD candidate at the MIT Media Lab .The Sixth Sense prototype is comprised of a pocket projector, a mirror and a camera. The hardware components are coupled in a pendant like mobile wearable device. This device implements several applications that demonstrate the usefulness, viability and flexibility of the system. The map application lets the user navigate a map displayed on a nearby surface using hand gestures, similar to gestures supported by Multi-Touch based systems, letting the user zoom in, zoom out or pan using intuitive hand movements. The drawing application lets the user draw on any surface by tracking the fingertip movements of the user’s index finger.
These are some of the applications of this magical device. This video demonstrate how does this device work and what its used for .In my opinion it’s a revolution in the technology world that will bring huge benefits to mankind.

Maximise the Power of Your Brain - Tony Buzan MIND MAPPING
"Every single brain is potential to be brilliant " that's what the Mind mapping inventor Tony Bozan said..A mind map is a diagram used to represent words, ideas, tasks, or other items linked to and arranged around a central key word or idea.
So to sum up our memories works with key ideas not sentences and this method has proven to be one of the best methods to be used in the 21stcentury not only in education but also in business and many other aspects of life.
I was fortunate that have some of Tony Bozans book and I didn't know how important they were except once I read it .I understood the amount of benefit I can get especially for a natural problem like forgetting.
This vedio has a quick explaining of mind mapping , there are lots of sources and vedios also talking about this topic so go a head and explore youtube!.
A vision for free, global (online) education
It's amazing when we find people that are thinking like us .While I was searching for a Topic for the blog I found videos in a website called TED . TED stands for Technology Entertainment and Design .An annual conference in Monterey has grown to a global community focusing on exchanging and spreading ideas. That’s what I was thinking of for the last days .While I was working on my research project I couldn't find enough information about it and I knew am away from that because our libraries has limited access to specific journals which doesn't help us most of the times .One of the ways is purchasing a book online cause books at the library are really old or registering in a website paying annual amount of money each year to get the information we need .The idea of Richard Baraniuk would solve lots of our educational problems in many ways . Richard is electrical engineer and as he was teaching he faced lots of things that made him get to this idea .This is a hope for many people nowadays every where, the free global online education. Starting by sharing information with less price or for free. First he gave an example of LP records that has been replaced with the new digitized records like CDs and MP3s , how it has been improved and he tried to think about education in a similar way .He mentioned that publishing processes to be complicated, books are expensive and it creates a wall between the author and the people who are the ultimate users of it. The idea is to make digital books. Moreover, free access for information will be available for all people. Updating will be done for information every 25 second in other wards it will be an open source tool and content. All of this will speed up the educational process. Connexion is one of the projects related to this topic. Also, there is a community of engineers professors from Cambridge ,are trying to make a massive super electronic text book that cover all areas of electrical engineering. The story has just started and all the ideas he made was presented in the presentation so I don't want to spoil the joy of watching it .It's a dream for me that I hope to come true in our university system .As a student the difficulties was huge during the 3 years I was studying and I noticed lots of missing things in our studies and lots of system mistakes that we hope one day that it would change. This video was the one I liked the most cause it has a noble aim .An aim of changing the world.
Muslims in America
While searching in the youtube for a suitable video to be added I found some interesting ones about Ramadan and Muslims in the US ..
I chose the one that talks about the muslims in the US and their struggle to live and practice Islam there specially after the 11/9 events .I wanted to look to the part of the truth that was hidden from us since we are living here and having no idea about what muslims are going through there in the US.This video has some information about muslims living in the US.
After the 11/9 events muslims were verbally and physically abused. Some mosques were vandalised. In fact American muslims population is from 5-7 million the issue here is different than other musilm countries because they are minority so they need to get used to this fact .
Two people has been talking about how they found living there specially after the 11/9 .Safaa Zarzour was a Syrian teacher that become a principle to an Islamic school. He received a hate letter but he thought that it wouldn't change any thing because he thinks that this is a part of living in America.
Anther person ,was Dr Aminah Mcloud an expert in Islamic studies in American muslim community. She discussed one more problem which was that the muslim community was growing and they needed to build a mosque.Once they found a place which was an empty church they tried to buy it, but the township refused just because they are Muslims. It was considered as discrimination and objected to the court.
What I felt that it would help to reduce the amount of tension is to discuss every thing ,respect each others religions .There are some similarities and differences between religions to be understood and every one has the right to practice their religion. We don't have the right to despise people just because of their religion and this is a part of our religion .
